We have both supported her as our MP, in fact I have been the chair of her/our Constituency Labour Party for the last few years. This post contains inaccuracies and innuendo that I would not be able to support and if anyone was in a position to say these things it would be me - and I cannot and will not. She has been an exceptionally hard working MP both within the constituency and in Westminster and this is both unkind and unfair. I know it is fascinating to speculate about behind the scenes activities within other parties but you are very wrong with this. I wanted Wendy to win but it was not to be. But I have never once suggested that Luciana was parachuted in, she was chosen fair and square by ordinary party members and we all continue to support her. I am also the person who recruited Jake to the Labour Party and taught him how to campaign, so I am no novice on this miserable situation. He is a nice lad and I like him very much but he has made some big mistakes. I do hope he can find his way out of the cul-de-sac he has painted his way into but I fear it will be a long time before he is in a position to win any further elections. A successful candidate in England needs a financial and volunteer support group behind them and non-aligned candidates very rarely pull that off.
